Bio
Aristotle was born in northern Greece around 384 BCE and grew up to become one of the smartest men who ever lived. As a young man, he traveled to Athens to study under the famous philosopher Plato, where he was the star student for 20 years. Later, he was hired by the King of Macedon to be a private tutor for his son, a young prince who would grow up to be Alexander the Great.
After tutoring Alexander, Aristotle returned to Athens and started his own school called the Lyceum. Unlike his teacher Plato, who focused on abstract ideas, Aristotle was obsessed with the real world. He studied everything from biology and sea creatures to politics and happiness. He wrote the very first books on logic and science, organizing human knowledge in a way that we still use today.
