Erik Seversen is a global adventurer, educator, and author who transformed from a struggling student in Washington State into a high-honors UCLA graduate with a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Virginia. His life is defined by extreme exploration; he has visited over 80 countries, hitchhiked from London to Central Africa, and lived with remote tribes in the Amazon rainforest.
While he began his career teaching English as a Second Language in Japan and Thailand, he eventually transitioned into the corporate world, serving as a VP at EagleRider where he helped grow the company’s valuation from $7 million to over $100 million.
Currently, Seversen focuses on public speaking and publishing, leveraging his "Ordinary to Extraordinary" philosophy to help others achieve high-performance results. Following the pandemic, he pivoted to creating best-selling co-authored anthology books, such as The Successful Mind and The AI Mindset, which gather insights from Olympic athletes and global experts. He now runs the Self Publishing Center to assist aspiring authors and advocates for mental resilience, utilizing lessons from his mountaineering and business experiences to teach others how to overcome creative blocks and succeed.
