Gregory Stock is an interpreter and guide to the human future whose work explores how emerging technologies are transforming what it means to be human. A scientist, entrepreneur, and bestselling author, he is CEO of Socratic Sciences, which uses the power of questioning to help us understand ourselves, one another, and our shared future as we search for meaning and purpose in an age of immersive AI.

Stock co-founded UCLA’s Program on Medicine, Technology and Society, the Harris Center for Precision Wellness at the Icahn School of Medicine, and Signum Biosciences.

His books include Metaman: The Merging of Humans and Machines into a Global Superorganism; Redesigning Humans: Our Inevitable Genetic Future; the five-million-copy bestselling Book of Questions series, translated into 25 languages; and Generation AI and the Transformation of Human Being.

He has made more than 1,500 media appearances worldwide and has debated leading thinkers such as Ray Kurzweil and Francis Fukuyama. He holds a PhD in biophysics from Johns Hopkins and an MBA from Harvard.
