What is the Knowledge Meter?

The Knowledge Meter is a visual indicator that shows how much curated knowledge has been added to a Callable* persona. It appears as a series of bars that light up based on the amount of information the expert has been trained on.

How is it calculated?

We are not disclosing the exact algorithm to prevent fraud, but it takes into account various factors such as the amount of text, the quality of the text and the uniqueness of the information provided by the expert. The meter is updated whenever the expert adds or removes knowledge from their persona.

The number of bars is logarithmic - each bar represents a significant increase in knowledge.

Why logarithmic?

We use a logarithmic scale because the relationship between knowledge and expertise isn't linear. The first bar of knowledge makes a significant difference, while the marginal benefit of each additional bar decreases. This mirrors how human expertise works - foundational knowledge is crucial, but each increment beyond that adds progressively less novelty.

Does more knowledge mean better conversations?

Not necessarily. Quality matters more than quantity. A well-curated knowledge base with accurate, relevant information will provide better conversations than a larger but unfocused collection. The Knowledge Meter is just one indicator of a persona's depth - verified status and user reviews are equally important when choosing who to call.
