CCPA Notice
Our policy regarding the California Consumer Privacy Act and how it affects your data.

This notice applies to California residents and explains your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as well as how Callable* ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the last 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:
- Identifiers: Name, email address, account ID, payment information, and device identifiers
- Profile Data: Documents, voice samples (processed into embeddings then deleted), and other content submitted to create your Callable profile
- Usage Data: Service interactions, call minutes, feature usage, technical logs, and error reports
- Communications: Feedback, support requests, and newsletter subscriptions
Note: Voice embeddings are mathematical representations derived from voice samples. They are not biometric identifiers as they cannot be reverse-engineered to recreate your original voice.
Purpose of Collection
We use personal information to:
- Provide and maintain the Services
- Process subscription payments
- Enable creation, management, and hosting of Callable* profiles
- Track and allocate calling credits
- Improve and develop features
- Ensure security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations
Your Rights Under CCPA
As a California resident, you have the following rights:
Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the personal information we collect, use, and share about you over the past 12 months.
Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., for legal compliance or fraud prevention).
Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale: Callable* does not sell your personal information.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights, such as by denying service or charging different fees.
Right to Use an Authorized Agent: You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf. We will require verification of the agent's authority.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You may request that we limit our use of your sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Services.

Under CPRA, you have the right to limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the Services you reasonably expect.

- Voice Data: We temporarily process voice recordings to create voice embeddings for your Callable persona
How We Use Sensitive Personal Information
- Voice Processing: Creating voice embeddings that enable your Callable persona to speak in a synthesized version of your voice
- Service Provision: Operating the core functionality of your Callable persona
How to Exercise Your Right to Limit
You may limit the use of your sensitive personal information by:
- Privacy Request Form: Submit a request to limit use
- Account Settings: Manage your privacy settings

When you limit use, we will only use your sensitive personal information as necessary to provide the Services you reasonably expect. Note that limiting use may affect the functionality of your Callable persona.
How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit requests regarding your CCPA rights through the following channels:

- Privacy Request Form: Submit a privacy request - including requests to know, delete, correct, or limit use of sensitive personal information

Verification Process
To protect your personal information, we will verify your identity before responding to requests. We may ask you to:
- Confirm information associated with your account
- Provide additional identifying information
- For deletion requests, we may require re-authentication
We will respond to your request within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension if needed (90 days total).
Data Retention and Sharing
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to provide Services and fulfill legal obligations. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

- Stripe (payment processing)
- RunPod & DigitalOcean (cloud infrastructure)
- Supabase (database services)
- Google Drive (form storage)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Cloudflare (security & CDN)
- Tally (form collection)
- Google Analytics (analytics)
- Legal Compliance: Government entities when required by law
- Business Transfers: Potential acquirers in the event of merger or sale
These third parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes.
Updates to This CCPA Notice
We may update this CCPA Notice periodically. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this notice regularly. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated notice.
Data Minimization
We practice data minimization by:
- Processing voice recordings only as long as necessary (typically seconds)
- Immediately deleting raw voice data after creating embeddings
- Retaining only the minimum data necessary to provide our Services
Do Not Track Signals
Our Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. However, you can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or account settings.
